A DAY TRIP TO FRANCE

Cruise to St. Pierre and Miquelon, French Territory

A little bit of France lives right here in North America, in an archipelago of islands named St. Pierre and Miquelon. French language, French culture and that delectable French food abound from the moment you set foot onshore, located just off the coast of Labrador and Newfoundland. These tiny islands survive on rich fisheries and have a history of capture and invasion, handed back and forth between Britain and France for centuries. During the American Prohibition era, Al Capone and Bill McCoy used these islands for their rum-running operations. Every cliff, pier and street corner has a story to tell, and there are plenty of opportunities to soak up those stories when you visit.
