Q

Do I need a COVID-19 vaccine to cruise? How far in advance do I need to get my vaccine?

A

Vaccination requirements vary by port of departure and by age group. Below are the current published requirements for select ports. We are continually adding, monitoring and adjusting information on vaccination requirements as public health conditions evolve. Booked guests will be advised of the latest requirements for their port of departure before sailing.

Read more about what vaccines are accepted and what documents are accepted as proof of vaccination.

For Cruises Departing from All U.S. Homeports

All Royal Caribbean guests age 12 and older must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination, with the final dose of their vaccine administered at least 14 days before sailing. We will continually evaluate these requirements and make updates as local public health standards evolve.

For guests departing from Florida homeports, this is a requirement of The Bahamas and St. Thomas governments for a cruise ship to enter their waters, and is currently planned to remain in effect until November 1, 2021, at which point the policy may be updated. We remain in contact with local governments in the ports we visit and will update the policy if advised.

Guests under the age of this requirement don't need to be vaccinated and will complete COVID-19 testing requirements depending on the length and departure port of their sailing.

Crew Vaccination Requirement

We require all Royal Caribbean crew members on all ships and at Perfect Day at CocoCay to be fully vaccinated.

How do you count the 14 days for full vaccination, exactly?

The 14 day time period starts the day you get your last dose. That’s Day 1. After 14 days pass, you can get onboard on Day 15. For example, if you received your final dose on September 1st, your 14 day countdown starts on September 1st, and you would be permitted to board the ship on September 15th or later.
